Elisabeth Von Trapp Interview

An Interview with Elisabeth Von Trapp: During this show we chat with the granddaughter of Captain and Maria Von Trapp of "Sound of Music" fame.  Elisabeth is the daughter of Werner Von Trapp, son of Captain and Maria Von Trapp, and was portrayed in the Sound of Music as son "Kurt."  Werner Von Trapp actually helped to create the Community School of Music and the Arts in Reading, Pennsylvania, the county seat from where our Mountain Folk show originates and Elisabeth was raised for a few years right in our homeplace region!   She is a fantastic vocalist, musician and enjoys skiing!  She's even dabbled with bluegrass music!  We chat about her music, her family, and offer information about a concert that was a fundraiser for the school.  This show originally aired the week of 3/4/07.

The Grundsow Lodge #2 Show - Join Bobby Bubbenmoyer from the Shoemakersville School of Broadcasting, (the S.O.B.), the Mountain Folk Show’s “East Side Dave” Kline and WEEU Radio and Exeter House Publishing’s Charles J. Adams III for the monthly meeting of The Grundsow Lodge #2, a one-hour or so show where the hosts chew the fat about this and that and present some stuff that you’re very unlikely to hear anywhere else.  Don’t tell anyone you’re listening to the “lodge” because, as the hosts say, “it’s a secret!”  Folksy and sometimes on the edge of good taste, The Grundsow Lodge #2 is the place where the hosts are all for one and one ferhuddled!  Somehow the show manages to be entertaining; honest!
