Lyons Fiddle
Festival, September 2009:
"What a group! As good vocally as they
are instrumentally (and that's saying something). And on top of
that, they don't just sing and play, they ENTERTAIN!"

Paxutawney Elementary
School Swiss Mountains International Day, 1/27/09:
Hi Dave,
I wanted to tell you
what a pleasure it was having you at our school and
what a great impression you made on the kids. I
actually had moms telling me the next day that their
kids came home and told them they had to yodel for
them!!!! lol. It was so enjoyable! Thank you soooo
much! Thanks again Dave for the fabulous
entertainment and we are already passing your name
to other PTAs!
We love what we do
and it's so cool to see the kid's enthusiasm
about life in a different country! Again thank
you Dave for a fabulous, fun and spirited show!
Hopefully our paths
will cross again someday!

25th Anniversary
Lyons Fiddle Festival, 9/21/08:
One of many
highlights of the 2008 Lyons Fiddle Festival was the collaboration
between East Side Dave Kline and Jesse McReynolds and the Virginia
Boys singing "Swing Low Sweet Chariot." - Keith Weidner, Fest
Organizer.
Yesterday, (Sept. 21st) my husband and I
attended the Lyons Fiddle Fest as first time audience members for
the 2008 season. Blue Grass is not our preferred genre of music, but
we greatly appreciated the talents of the many performers who graced
the stage that day. We were especially entertained by Dave Kline and
his band. We would like to thank all the performers, supporters and
volunteers who made this day possible. Also would like to give kudos
to the Designer and Webmaster for the website. It is by far one of
the best local websites I have ever visited. See you next year!

Schuylkill River Sojourn Show A Success
2007 Schuylkill River Sojourn
To Dave and your Mountain Folk Band...
Over the years, while planning for the
Sojourn, I've hired different groups to see what's out there by way
of talent. You got the folks up and dancing here in Pottstown,
which hasn't happened since. I'm looking forward to working
with you for future Sojourns!

BLUEGRASS ENSEMBLE PUTS ON
MEMORABLE SHOW
Rhonda Vincent & The Rage in concert with East
Side Dave and the Mountain Folk Band, 1/13/07:
Reviewed by Susan L. Pena in The
Reading Eagle Newspaper Arts & Entertainment section, 1/15/07.
Singer/instrumentalist Rhonda Vincent and her band
perform intricate arrangements of traditional and original material
at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.
Opening for Vincent was Berks County’s own
East Side Dave and the Mountain Folk Band, giving a brief history of
bluegrass with songs from the Revolutionary War era, the Depression,
from Bill Monroe and contemporary styles.
Joining him were his son, Dane Kline, on bass;
fiddler Travis Wetzel, whose astounding performance of the “Orange
Blossom Special” was the evening’s highlight;
Mike Hertzog on banjo; and Bob Entler on mandolin.
"East Side Dave" Kline provided guitar and
vocals for a wonderful 30 minutes.
