Above: 10/19/07 - Performing as the "official musician of Berks County Farmland
Preservation" East Side Dave invited elected officials; county
commissioners, state senators, state agriculture folks, to join him
in singing "This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land" as a part
of the celebration when the 53,000th acre of farmland was preserved
in Berks County, our Mountain Folk home county. We now rank
3rd in the USA for farmland preservation!

button box musician who is a member of the original Enzian Folk
Music Gruppe from Austria. This photo was taken at the 21st
Gaufest put on by the GTV Edelweiss Dancers at the Hershey Lodge and
Convention Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, USA. Our live
broadcast from this event was the first-ever live radio broadcast
from a Gaufest and was part of a Super Alpine live broadcast morning
with Dave & Kaz from WEEU Radio.
Over three thousand people from all over the
world attended Gaufest 2007 which is the bi-annual gathering of
traditional folk dance (Gau) groups. Gaufest is like the
Olympics of traditional mountain folk dancing, music, food,
beverages, clothing and customs. Gold, silver and bronze
medals were awarded to dancers in many categories.
