Almost everyone on
the planet who loves music knows the story of the famous Von Trapp
family of "Sound of Music" fame. Below are some photos from
Elisabeth Von Trapp's 2007 visit and concert at our Mountain Folk
homeplace near West Reading, Pennsylvania.
Elisabeth Von Trapp
is the daughter of Werner Von Trapp and the granddaughter of Captain
and Maria Von Trapp. Werner Von Trapp helped to found The
Community School of Music and the Arts in town of Reading,
Pennsylvania, near our Mountain Folk homeplace fifty years ago and
Elisabeth's visit and concert was part of the fiftieth anniversary
celebration.
Mountain Folk's
East Side Dave served as the concert's MC and also performed by
singing and playing guitar with Elisabeth on two of the concert's
songs.

Elisabeth and others visited President Joe Marnell and club members
of the Reading Leiderkranz Music & Sport Club.
